  •  How do I hang these items?

For SMALL TO MEDIUM SIZED ITEMS:
- Double sided foam mounting tape works great.
- Hot gluing ribbon to the back and then hang it on a nail.
- You can use dots of hot glue on the back of the item and adhere it directly to the surface you are hanging it on.
- Place finishing nails into the wall in a pattern that the item can hang on.
- Spray Adhesive can be used if damage to the wall's finish is not a concern.
LARGER ITEMS:
- Liquid nails works well if you want to permanently attach it to a surface.
- Sawtooth hanging hardware that can be found at any local hardware store, is good for limited damage to a wall.
- Double sided foam mounting tape is very strong.

  •  How do I PAINT WOOD items?

These wood items are very good for painting. They will take almost any paint extremely well, however I personally like acrylic craft paint from hobby stores or any spray paint that is rated for wood. You can use a paint brush, foam brush or I like to put the acrylic craft paint in my paint gun and spray it. Darker colors are very easy to paint with, just make sure you get even coverage. Lighter colors may take more than one coat. Focus first on the edges and then do a coat on the front.

  •  How do I care for or paint METAL items?

Your piece comes cut raw in unsealed metal so please be careful, there could be sharp edges.  Each metal sheet we work with has its own look also called Patina. If you would like your items to look uniform I recommend sealing with a metallic or colored spray paint to seal and get that perfect uniform look. These metal items if left unfinished will form rust which many people perfer. However, if you do not want it to rust, please paint or clear coat the item as soon as you receive it.

To paint, please wipe the piece off with a paper towel or cloth and use an acrylic or spay paint rated for metal doing light coats making sure the  paint doesn't pool.

For very fast rusting, you can:

- Spray it with white vinegar and leave it in the sun to dry.
- For faster rusting, you can make a solution up in a spray bottle with 4 TBSP white vinegar, 1 1/2 tsp table salt, and 2 cups of hydrogen    peroxide. Spray the metal and then leave it in the sun to dry.  You can repeat this process to get a deeper rust look.

  • What are other ways to finish METAL items?

Spray paint (like Rust-Oleum™), vinyl, chalk paint and powder coating are just a few of the finishes that work well on these. Metal is very dynamic and can be customized in so many creative ways:)
